November 2021 Free Gift . Artemis Goddess Gin
This month, we are giving away samples of a beautiful gin, produced in the Southern Highlands of Australia by the internationally awarded Artemis winery & distillery. Made from premium Shiraz grapes, carefully fermented and distilled then vapour infused through reflux column with traditional Australian botanicals. Lead botanicals of rose petal, lemon myrtle and delicate star anise integrate perfectly together.

WHITE WINES

Maria Bonita Loureiro 2019 Vinho Verde . Portugal
Fresh and citrusy, this lovely and easy-drinking white wine has wonderful aromatics of white fruit and is balanced with good acidity and a lingering finish. The elegant textures in this wine offer the ability to drink it just as an aperitif or pair with fish / white meat.

Giuliana Vicini 2020 Trebbiano d’Abruzzo . Italy
Trebbiano d’Abruzzo is the most widespread white grape variety in Abruzzo. Fresh and easy to drink, with a light straw yellow color. Intense aroma of fresh fruit such as green apples and grapefruit, are the prelude to a savory, structured but harmonious drink. Pair with shellfish appetizers and suggested with chicken with lemon and rosemary.

Castelgufo 2020 Verdicchio Dei Castelli Di Cesi . Italy
This Verdicchio vineyard is strongly connected to the land of the region Marche and it boasts of ancient origins, with first written evidences dating back to the 5th century AD. The wine has intense straw yellow with golden- green reflections. Complex floral scents with white peach and golden delicious apple, sage and sweet spice. Perfect with grilled white meats and steamed or baked fish.

ROSÉ WINE

Buitengewoon “Wild Rose" 2021 Rosé . South Africa
This Pinotage rosé is intense pink in colour and hosts fine aromas of red fruits. The palate is soft, smooth and elegant with a velvety finish, with a good amount of freshness and acidity. Perfect after-work and with salads, turkey, white meat and seafood.

RED WINES

Villa Valentina Puglia 2019 Sangiovese . Italy
This organic wine comes from the finest vineyards in Apulia. It is entirely made with Sangiovese grapes, which are hand-picked and carefully selected. Deep ruby red with aromas of red fruits, black cherry. A full and fresh wine that would pair excellently with roasted meat and tomato based dishes, lasagna and pizza.

Le Petit Gascôn 2020 Rouge . Côtes de Gascogne, France
This is 80% Cabernet Franc and 20% Tannat and is ruby red in the glass with fresh red berry fruit characters. The balance is excellent and seems to seamlessly travel across the palate, an excellent easy-drinking red that has depth of character and charming tannin spice to match it with coldcuts, salamis, cheeses and meat stews.

Woodlands Selection 2019 Shiraz Cabernet . South East Australia
This medium red coloured wine exudes aromas of dry spice, leather, and earthy mineral aromas. On the palate the wine has a good helping of soft redcurrant flavours balanced by smooth tannins and spicy oak at the finish. A really excellent and balanced wine and one of our best-sellers - serve with stir fried chicken and beef dishes.
