Pronounced mos-ko-FEE-le-ro, Moschofilero is a highly aromatic Greek grape variety, primarily grown in the high-altitude region of Mantinia in the Peloponnese. Although it has pinkish-grey skin, it’s typically to produce vibrant white wines that are crisp, floral, and refreshingly dry.
Often compared to Muscat or Gewürztraminer, Moschofilero offers an expressive bouquet of rose petals, citrus blossom, and tropical fruit, balanced by lively acidity and a clean finish. It’s a wonderfully versatile wine, pairing beautifully with seafood, light Mediterranean dishes, spicy Asian cuisine, and soft cheeses.
