Brad's Homemade Limoncello Recipe

Limoncello is a delicious, fresh and zesty digestif, perfect straight out of the freezer after lunch in the sun, served straight or on ice. It's this time of year when I pick my lemons and then use them to carefully make this great drink. You have to be patient but the result is worth it.

Ingredients

1 x 750ml bottle of pure (or 95%) alcohol
Zest of nine lemons
400 gms of white sugar
650 mls water

Zest the lemons, put them in a glass one-gallon jar with the alcohol and let it sit for 45 days. Then filter the mixture 4 times using #4 coffee filters.

Mix the sugar and water in a pot and bring to a boil for 5 minutes. Let the mixture sit until completely cool and then mix with the alcohol and lemon infusion.

Let that mixture sit for 45 days.
Bottle the liquid and put it in the freezer.
Invite Brad over and drink!

About Brad
”I have been inspired to work with small, family-owned wineries because in my experience, they produce the best value wines that you can find. These wines are hand-crafted - they have a story about where they are from and how they are made - and it is these wines that I send out every month to our subscribers, wines with beautiful details that I enjoy sharing with people."
